3.1 What i learnt by doing the preliminary exercise
During the preliminary exercise i had learnt how to work effectively as a team and individually. I had learnt some new camera shots such as: point of view-where the camera can see the scene and the character. Medium two shot- Two characters and you can see their face and half of their body. Over the shoulder shot-When the camera is over the characters shoulder and is facing the other character, so you can see it in their prospective. Shot reverse shot-Is giving an effect of two characters talking to each other, firstly the camera is showing the first character 1 looking at character 2 then it shows character 2 looking back at character 1, and i had also learnt the 180 degree rule-which is 2 shots from different angles on the same side, but have to stay on the right side in the 180 angle so that the shots do not break the 180 degree rule. I had also learnt how to use these shots in my work using a camera and know how to do them without breaking the rule. My main job was mainly the sound and the props i had to decide what the characters should wear and be the most appropriate to the script, i had also helped with the camera and sound work and directing and the scrip.

Some useful details about shots and a record of your role in the exercise. A sensible start Zainab.
ReplyDeleteThe grades for what you have produced so far are in the Level 1 band because you have not supplied evidence of your role in the preliminary exercise or posted the final construction.
The use of bold font shows that you are thinking about presentation. The best thing to do here would be to have screen grabs or perhaps even video (in the case of shot-reverse shot) to illustrate each shot type. Your use of appropriate ICT tools is assessed and again this post is Level 1.
When you are back in school you will need to attend coursework catchup to get youself up to date. Please email me for work to do at home.
